About Cards & Conversation

Cards & Conversation started at our family dinner table in Denver, Colorado. We noticed that the best moments with people we cared about always began with the right question. Not small talk. The kind of question that makes someone pause, think, and share something real. So we started collecting those questions. We tested them with couples on date nights, families at holiday gatherings, strangers at events, and coworkers who had worked side by side for years without ever having a real conversation. Over six years, we kept the questions that consistently sparked something genuine and let go of the rest. The result is a deck of 54 casino-quality playing cards, each with five conversation starters on the back. Topics range from funny and imaginative to deep and thought-provoking. It works as a conversation game, a regular poker deck, or both. Ages 5 to 95. No rules, no setup, no wrong answers. We launched on Amazon in 2016 and have sold over 32,000 decks since. Every card is printed on premium card stock with UV coating and non-toxic inks from Europe and Japan, because we wanted something that felt as good in your hands as the conversations feel in the room. We are a small family business. We keep inventory on hand and ship quickly. And we still use our own deck at our family table regularly.Read their story
