About Jivita

Raw, earthy, modern, Jivita's sterling silver jewelry is an exploration in form and texture. Each piece is originally hand-fabricated, using traditional metalsmithing techniques, then molded and cast in downtown Los Angeles. Hand finished in her Long Beach, California studio, makers marks by file and hammer are left in place to create organic pieces of natural imperfection. Inspired by the California landscape and backpacking trips throughout the West, her pieces appeal to the hiker, garden lover and artsy independant woman alike. With a natural oxidized patina her pieces are designed to be worn daily with comfort and ease. Jivita uses recycled and reclaimed silver whenever possible. Jivita Harris-Casey earned a Metal Arts degree at California State University Long Beach. She does a custom collection for the Getty Museum, which has continued to sell for over ten years. The work is regularly featured on television (most recently in shows such as: This is Us, How to Get Away with Murder, Switched at Birth and Private Practice and is available in several custom lines at museum stores, boutiques, and artisan shops across the country.Read their story
