Golden Cockerel has been making authentic Russian nesting dolls since 1993. Founded on the basis of an international friendship, we are a small company based jointly in Boone, North Carolina AND St. Petersburg, Russia. Our dolls are designed and manufactured in St. Petersburg by a production team of skillful artists, talented designers, carvers and engineers. We use modern digital printing equipment that allows us, in conjunction with traditional craftsmanship, to achieve high productivity and consistent quality to satisfy our customers. We have produced thousands of unique nesting dolls of our own designs in our doll workshop and have been serving a broad spectrum of customers, from individual collectors to corporations such as USA Films, Pepsi, Nestle, and John Deere, in our over 30 years of business. Some notable awards: We won an unofficial Oscar In Premiere Magazine as the best promotional item in the movie industry in 1999 for our Being John Malkovich nesting doll. We produced 40,000 of them for USA Films, Inc. to be sold together with the VHS. The doll we made for Nike SB, featuring pro-riders of the Nike snowboarding team, made us a regional winner in Northern Europe in the Roland Creative Awards international contest in 2011.Read their story
