About Loomstruck

Loomstruck is an initiative by Tom Deleenheer & Luc Meertens. Tom has been active for the last 20 years in designing, manufacturing and trading jacquard woven products, such as tapestry wallhangings, pillow covers, throws and other home accessories. His products can be found here on Faire under the Yapatkwa brand name . Luc owned different companies and simply needed a new challenge. A cocktail bar in Ghent and a perfectly brewn Negroni on New Year's day proved to be the right setting for teaming up and developing the idea of reproducing artwork by famous artists into jacquard woven wallhangings. A liaison between the art of weaving, a craft Belgium has been famous for since the 16th century, and fine arts seemed to be just the right idea.
