Big Toe Seasonings & Rubs was started by Sakina Jackson. The married mother of five and soon grandmother of eleven came to that fork in the road that spoke, it is time for a change. Working as the Director of Municipal Court was a great opportunity, however, spending time with family was even better. Sakina retired and invested a portion of her retirement to launch Big Toe Seasonings after much research! The name Big Toe is derived from a southern saying or idiom meaning your food is basically beyond delicious! Sakina grew up hearing the adults say this often after tasting some good ole family food! It also helped that Sakina's father was a head chef for several reputable companies such as two local Universities in the Dallas, Texas area, American Airlines, Sears & Roebuck, Texas Instruments, and Haggar Slacks of which He cooked for Mr. Haggar himself at times. Launching Big Toe Seasonings was just what Sakina needed to bring flavor to those she loved and beyond! So, when you hear, Putcha Big Toe in it....We are not being literal.
