About Cat Babbie

This is the outlet for my silly side. As an abstract fiber artist, I take my work seriously, but don't see the point in being serious ALL the time. So I indulge in patches that make me giggle, and tap into my craft market experience to pull the packaging together with a little help from my designer friend. A naturalized Charlottean, I've put down deep roots in North Carolina over a decade ago. I work a full time job, and spend every other available moment in my studio at the VAPA Center and the cozy old bungalow I share with my two sweet cats. I've always made art, and studied studio art and art history at James Madison University in Virginia.Read their story
