As an architect, I’ve always been drawn to design—constantly reimagining ways to improve everyday objects, including apparel. Having lived in hot climates most of my life, sandals and flip flops were staples, yet they never felt quite right. The big toe strap, the heel slapping—comfort and elegance always seemed just out of reach. Years ago, an idea took root and wouldn’t let go. One day, I gave in to the inspiration. I bought leather, made rough prototypes—and they worked. The concept was simple: a free-standing heel strap you can slip into, no toe anchor, no fuss. Like putting wheels on luggage, a small tweak transformed the experience. I crafted the straps in full-grain leather, plush yet supportive, molding naturally to the foot. It felt luxurious—light, minimal, secure. Now refined by skilled artisans, this sandal offers a moccasin-like fit with modern elegance. No toe anchor. No compromise. Just bold, thoughtful design.
