Hola and Welcome to my page! My name is Esther and I’m the owner of Hilo de Amor-Tread of Love. I was born in colorful and beautiful Oaxaca, Oaxaca Mexico and currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Although, I’ve lived in the United States for over 20 years, the Indigenous people of Oaxaca, Mexico never left my heart. Today, I proudly work with groups of creative artisans and offer the world’s most fantastic textile art through Hilo de Amor-Thread of Love. When you purchase any item from our store you are actively transforming lives by putting money directly back into the hands of an original craftsman, empowering families, and bringing long term solutions to an impoverished region. Oaxaca, Mexico, is renowned for the artisans, and each one has a different story to tell. Not only do artisans put their hearts and soul into their work, but each finished product is engraved with a piece of their culture just waiting to be shared with others. These items resonate with the culture and individualism of the artisan and their families of which they have inherited the skills and been taught the traditions that have been used for many generations before. Hilo de Amor is a social entity whose objective is to facilitate the women's segment: "everything you can carry in a handbag", made by hand, with organic quality, through charitable-social works to groups of artisans of the state of Oaxaca, with profitable assets of interest in favor of artisans.
