About Sock Religious

When co-founders Scott Williams and his wife Elisabeth were on a road trip in 2016, Scott had a funny thought: “When I wear socks with donuts on them, everyone asks what’s on my socks. What if I had socks with saints on them? Then I could share about the life of the saint with them!” While Elisabeth originally thought it was a joke, the idea kept rattling around in Scott’s head. So, a few days later, he took a sock template with stick-figure sketches to his colleague, Madison Cipoletti, and asked if she could help him make a sock with Pope St. John Paul II on it. The next thing they knew, they had created that first design—as well as one honoring Pope Francis—to bring to NCYC in 2017. The socks sold out before the conference was over! Today, Sock Religious has fulfilled more than 100,000 orders and offers 100-plus sock designs to choose from. We are proud to produce every single pair in our Indianapolis-based facility. Not only that, but we’ve also expanded into T-shirts, mugs, onesies, custom sock designs, and more!
