We founded EcoFish (the parent company of Henry & Lisa's Natural Seafood and Freshé brands) in 1999, to provide consumers with premium quality, certified sustainable, all-natural seafood. We were the first certified sustainable seafood company in the U.S. (MSC & ASC). Henry & Lisa's tinned wild Alaskan Salmon and Portuguese Sardines are hand packed the traditional way, right where they are caught. They are delicious and full of rich heart-healthy Omega-3's. In 2016, we were on a sourcing trip in Europe’s Iberian Peninsula in search of the world’s greatest sardines. We also discovered a centuries-old European tradition of preserving premium-quality food in tins. The magic of properly tinned high-quality foods is they don’t need preservatives. And beyond that, tinned foods are easily transportable - simple to carry along on any adventure. We already had a seafood business - what if we started offering tinned meals as well? So we began to experiment. Beginning with responsibly sourced proteins, we partnered with a top chef and designed traditional, globally-inspired recipes filled with wholesome vegetables, legumes, vibrant herbs, spices, and olive oil.
