This is the story of a 3rd generation Chicago entrepreneur. Chocolate chip cookie. So simple and excruciatingly frustrating. Have you ever noticed all recipes use the same ingredients? Creativity & taste puts Big.Fat.Cookie on another level. Baking alongside my mother and grandmother: coffee cake & jelly cookies were my “childhood go to.” Baking was my passion, but I followed a different creative path. Not having plan after Tulane graduation, my parents encouraged me to expand the business I started in high school. Linda Levinson Designs LLC was born. After 25 years of designing and manufacturing jewelry in Chicago & Rhode Island, less expensive raw materials & labor came from overseas. When LLD closed in 2014, my creativity turned to cookies. 100's of batches, tastings, failures,1000’s of calories consumed and big.fat.cookie was born. BFC are Chicago born and baked, made in very small batches with the greatest attention to every detail, with the same craftsmanship, enthusiasm and creativity brought to my jewelry. We hand form and weigh each dough ball (scooped balls are a pet peeve) we add individual chocolate pieces to make sure the finished product is the correct weight and looks perfect. After baking, each cookie is individually wrapped, sealed with our playful, colorful & unique logo sticker. We recommend warming room temperature cookies @350 degrees 5-8 mins for melty inside & crispy outside. Enjoy your cookies, we certainly enjoyed creating them. XXO Read their story
