In 1999, Demano started an innovative project in Barcelona that, based on respect for the environment and with aesthetic awareness, seeks to give new life and meaning to disused materials generated by the city's cultural, social and sporting activity. This is how an advertising banner, a kitesurf kite or a piece of umbrella cloth becomes a purse, a backpack or a purse, which starts their journey to tell the everyday story of the city. Making a Demano Barcelona product is an exciting and painstaking process. It involves the collection of the material, the transfer to our workshop and its cleaning. Thus, we tune our raw material, saying goodbye to its previous life and helping it to reincarnate into a new element. Your body will be the result of designing, cutting and sewing, with the collaboration of small workshops in Barcelona, some of them with people with disabilities, who make our products by hand, one by one, with artisan care.
