Our journey to Yama Matcha began on a trip through Asia, where we came across the unique world of matcha. We, two founders from Vienna with a background in the catering and hotel industry, were impressed by the variety and taste of this traditional form of Japanese tea. When we returned to Austria, we began to develop our idea. We wanted to offer matcha not just as a new coffee substitute, but as an opportunity to establish a new culture and a new experience in Austria. We looked for the best matcha producers in Japan and developed a close partnership with them. We wanted to ensure that our matcha products met the highest quality standards and reflected the taste and aromas of traditional Japanese tea tradition. Today, we offer our matcha products in various varieties and flavors, from classic varieties such as Ceremonial Matcha to our Daily Matcha for daily enjoyment. We are proud that we are establishing the tradition of matcha in Austria and opening up new ways of using matcha in gastronomy and in everyday life. Our goal is to make the world of matcha better known in Austria and inspire a new generation of matcha lovers.
