About Merle Works

Merle Works produces small batch hand-dyed goods and other ephemera. It is an exploration of color, magic, and joy: a series of experiments in working fast and loose, leaving permanent marks, and finding beauty in mess. It nurtures human connection, a love of language and color, and a spirit that anything can happen. It makes for inspired, intentional giving and receiving. Also, no plastic packaging or packing materials. Except for the greeting card sleeves, which seem to be an unavoidable industry standard at this point. Everything is made and packaged by hand, real human American hands. Any goods produced not in the US are dyed and finished in an old studio in a rehabbed building in Asbury Park, NJ.
