About New Skool
Nathan "Nate1" Tan is a graphic designer and artist based in San Francisco. As a teenager in the 80's Nate stamped his place in history as a pioneer of the art form. He is featured in the History of American Graffiti book and film documentary Piece By Piece. After a 10 year career as a graphic designer for large retail companies, Nate started his own clothing line New Skool which features designs inspired by Pop Culture, Hip Hop and local icons from the Bay Area. Today New Skool and his art have been collected world wide from wholesale clients to private commissioned art pieces. "I am very fortunate to make a living from the passion for art I had as a teenager. I strive to let that youthful passion still show in my current designs and art work."
