The FurFolk Bakehouse was born in Appalachia from a deep love of animals and a long-standing commitment to living more naturally. As a woman-owned small business rooted in Appalachian values, we’ve always believed that what we bring into our homes — and what we give to those we love — should be simple, honest, and thoughtfully made. That philosophy has guided our work for years and eventually led us to look more closely at the treats we were giving our own pets. We grew increasingly frustrated with how many pet treats relied on artificial ingredients, chemical preservatives, and vague labeling — and how difficult it was to find options that truly aligned with a natural, transparent approach. So, we began baking our own. What started as small-batch baking for our own pets evolved into The FurFolk Bakehouse: a dedicated pet treat line focused on simple ingredients, clear labeling, and consistent quality retailers can trust. Every recipe is developed intentionally and prepared in small batches with care, allowing us to maintain both craftsmanship and reliability for wholesale partners. Our Appalachian roots shape everything we do — from valuing hard work and integrity to believing that pets deserve the same thoughtful care as the rest of the family.
