About West Of The Wind Designs

West of the Wind originated in 2007 producing photographic prints on canvas for indoor home décor. Upon seeing a saturation of the market for indoor wall decor, we pursued the idea of offering a giclee’ canvas print for outdoor use. At that time, Outdoor Living spaces were starting to become significant to home owners. By creating a canvas print unlike any other on the market, West of the Wind filled a void in outdoor living accessories. A framework of poly-vinyl stretcher bars that are cold-welded for durability, a proprietary lacquer coats the front and back of the canvas for UV and Waterproof protection and a hanging system tested for high winds allows this canvas print to be placed in any outdoor location with direct exposure to the elements. Starting with one size and fifty images in 2008, we now offer over 550 images in three sizes. Licensing with various artists has allowed us to expand our line and stay abreast of current trends in design and color. Outdoor Living products are now one of fastest growing categories in home décor and West of the Wind saw significant growth in 2020 as the popularity of outdoor décor soared.
