The Beer Syrup Co. was founded in 2015 by Russ Meredith in Louisville, Kentucky. As a bartender, he developed a process for making non-alcoholic syrups from real craft beer and cider which have natural applications for making everything from cocktails to salad vinaigrette. These syrups are now used by bars, coffee shops, bakeries, confectioners, and restaurants. Many food and beverage recipes that call for liquid sweeteners such as honey, maple syrup, agave, and other flavored simple syrups, are able to use Beer Syrups as a substitute for a different flavor profile.
