Caroline Rowland is the founding editor of 91 Magazine, an independent biannual magazine which focusses on creative interiors and lifestyle while championing small independent businesses. 91 Magazine was launched by ex-photo editor Caroline in 2011 when she couldn't find the type of interiors magazine she longed for. One that was aspirational yet attainable, stylish yet affordable and that also told the stories of creative people, their work and their spaces. The magazine started life as a free online publication, but has grown into a coveted print magazine, most comfortable when nestled on the shelves of an independent store or in the hands of an avid reader. In 2023, Caroline moved into book publishing, releasing the first in the PLACES series of books - PLACES to Shop: independent lifestyle stores across the UK, with more to come in 2024. Caroline has been shortlisted twice for Homes & Interiors Editor of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors awards, alongside many mainstream titles, proving that following your creative dream is always worth the effort. :) Read their story
