In 2003, inspired by her London-Hong Kong heritage, Claire Judge created the women's luxury loungewear label, Alöe, which expresses this fusion of aesthetic influences. Claire channeled her passion for design into creating this line of chic silk lingerie and pyjamas, designed to be seen and worn outside of the home. This has now gone on to become a firmly established fashion trend. Alöe enjoyed immediate success with prestigious stores including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Barneys NY, Fenwick Bond Street and Coco de Mer snapping up the collection. Claire draws inspiration from the beautiful silk family heirlooms, which she inherited from her Chinese maternal family. Claire spent time growing up in Hong Kong with her grandma and aunts, who dressed in traditional Chinese cheongsam dresses and trouser-suits, made in fashionable western 1960s and 1970s prints. It was a true blend of traditional Chinese silhouettes and English mod style and this unique east-west fusion of styles informs the spirit of Alöe. Alöe enjoys a loyal and prestigious client base, which includes Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Dita Von Teese. Claire's designs have featured in Hollywood films, dressing Sarah Jessica Parker in 'Sex And The City The Movie' and Kirsten Dunst in 'Spiderman 3'.
