About Erlenmeyer Art

Erlenmeyer is a gift and stationery business established in 2015, which is operated in Australia by best friends Avila Gray and Abby Kuo. The brand centres around Avi's hand-painted ink and watercolour illustrations, which depict a future Earth run by animals. Erlenmeyer's product range includes greeting cards, vinyl stickers, illustrated playing cards and fine art prints. Avi started Erlenmeyer at local Sydney markets just after she finished university (an unrelated science degree!) and since then has seen Erlenmeyer grow into a full-time enterprise for her and Abby (Operational Manager). Erlenmeyer products can be found across Australia at many independent retailers, as well as Dymocks and other bookstores, with many designs additionally licenced by the online international card company Moonpig. Avi's ongoing project is the creation of an illustrated encyclopedia that explains (through the eyes of an immortal historian raccoon called McAllister) how the world works in future. As new pieces are made for the book they become available as new card and print designs, showcasing the animal characters, their urban environments and the values and cultures held by the citizens of Erlenmeyer. Erlenmeyer is committed to sustainability and being environmentally friendly. Gone are the days of disposable cards!
