About ACKnots

Hello, We are ACKnots – pronounced “ACK – Knots”. Matthew & Abbey are a blended family with 6 kids – yes the “Brady Bunch” and we own our family business of bracelets, art and accessories. We started this business because of our love of all things coastal, nautical and the Nantucket lifestyle. We created our initial art work and bracelets based on the Reef Knot (our logo) since the Reef knot is the is also known as the knot of love. It's a simple and secure binding knot, and like our blended family the two ropes come together as one, loosely fitted, never too tight but connected forever as a complex set of movements that intertwine in a specific way that make it unbreakable. The ropes, as in any relationship and life, are never tied tight because of a love that will last forever. Our goal has always been to create products that are simple and yet sustainable. Our bracelets are made from 100% recycled plastic. For every bracelet we make we remove 1 plastic bottle from the ocean or landfill. Our art is simple, elegant and inspired by all things nautical.
