About Pink House Press

I'm Carolann, and I started Pink House Press when I was working a day job in web design but was itching to get back to creating items by hand. I got what my parents would describe as a “bee in my bonnet” to build a tabletop letterpress after finding an online tutorial for how to construct one. After making friends with a few Home Depot employees and experimenting with some rental power tools, I got my press up and running in my little studio apartment. My initial letterpress prints have since evolved into stationery, digital prints, wedding favors, laser cut items and more. The name Pink House Press is dedicated to the house I lived in my senior year of college, when my creative design juices really started flowing. Perhaps that's because Ben Folds is rumored to have lived there during the formation of Ben Folds Five, or that the house even inspired its own movie (see also: pinkhousemovie.com). Either way, I like to think a special spirit of creativity lingers in that house and that I picked some of it up along the way!Read their story
