About The Rudd Homestead LLC

The Rudd Homestead is a family-owned company run by Kristen & Josh Rudd along with the help of their eight kids. We are dedicated to creating handmade soaps, natural skincare, and bath products - all crafted with care and available online in our Etsy Shop or at our beautiful storefronts located inside Refurbished Treasures in Streator, IL, The Painted Tree in Bloomington, IL, and our Farm Shop in Pontiac, IL on our family farm, along with many shops locally that carry our products through wholesale. Years ago I (Kristen) started making products for our eight kids because of their sensitive skin that they unfortunately inherited from me. Most of our kids have eczema or just really sensitive skin that store bought products would irritate. I started with salves, lotions, and milk bath. Eventually, came soap and that made a huge difference in calming their skin. Family, friends, & even neighbors loved what I made. In 2020 I had a crazy idea to open up our little Farm Shop filled with all the homemade skincare products everyone loved. In 2021 my mom pushed me to open up our Etsy shop, then we started doing markets the same year, and wholesale in 2025! Our little company has grown so much in just a short time; I am so grateful everyday for all our customers for allowing me to share my love for herbs, plants, and natural skincare with them.
