About Kai Kathleen

Hey! I'm Kai Kathleen, a queer illustrator, mural artist and facilitator based in Surrey, UK. My business was born during 2020 when I came out and desired to connect with my community through my creative practice. It has since grown into a beautiful and fulfilling full time job alongside my other illustration work. My work focuses on my passion for LGBTQ+ empowerment and self compassion and is created in my colourful garden studio, when I’m not travelling around the country selling at markets and independent shops! My comforting, inclusive designs resonate with diverse audiences and are transformed into meaningful, high quality products. Sustainability is really important to me, all of my products are made in the UK and packaged in recycled and/or compostable packaging. My charms used for earrings, keyrings and necklaces are all made from recycled acrylic and my art prints are printed onto archival print paper which is amazing quality and designed to last for yearsss! I am currently stocked in Queer Britain, The Ethical Gift Shop Bristol, Neighbourhood store Shoreham, The Common Press, London LGBTQ+ centre, The Mill Gallery Leeds, Sara’s Threads and Deptford Does Art.
