LEAD TIME: 4-8 weeks due to a significant increase in the number and size of orders. I am a small time maker, working in my own home studio, and my products never see a warehouse. Ship by dates are an approximate. Bird & Elephant creates small-batch, handmade baby gifts using modern themed fabrics. Clothing includes hand-printed, original designs onto super soft infant bodysuits. B+E toys are thoughtfully planned and include sensory features to help baby and growing little ones develop and self-soothe. B&E uses only the finest materials, designer and/or organic cotton fabrics, with a mission to provide limited edition heirlooms to cherish. My son has sensory issues, diagnosed with Autism & other mental disorders. I discovered that lots of toys did not interest him. He loved bold, high-contrast designs, loopy ribbons and soft surfaces, these things inspire my designs. As a stay-at-home mom, I preferred the look and feel of handmade wooden toys (thanks, Pop!) and actually found ways to merge them into my homes' decor. I began making toys for little ones to be pretty, engaging, and multi-functional. I incorporate those elements into the making of my items in hopes of helping babies and their moms & pops find comfort in their lives.Read their story
