About Midge & Allan

Hi, I’m Scarlett. Artist, colour enthusiast, and the creative force behind Midge & Allan and Beautigurlz Designs. I’m proudly based in Canada and I love representing bold, joyful design with a little retro swagger. I studied Fine Arts and Interior Design at university, then built a career around colour, creativity, and design-led industries. I’ve also taught colour theory and watercolour to more than 1,000 students, helping people loosen up, trust their instincts, and stop being afraid of pink. Midge & Allan is my retro paper goods studio inspired by palettes of 1960s midcentury modern design, punchy colours and,playful whimsy. Every design starts as an original illustration before becoming shelf-ready cards and paper goods made to stand out. This is paper goods with personality to make you smile and laugh.
