About Jypsea Leathergoods

Jypsea Leathergoods was originally founded in 2001 while I was earning my degree in Accessory Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I wanted to design beautiful leather handbags and small leathergoods but also remain true to creating products in an eco-friendly way. I decided to upcycle leather from discarded leather coats and garments instead of using new animal hides. I took time off to complete my degree and to be a mom and relaunched in 2008. Since then the line has grown to include accessories that are handcrafted from recycled leather, high quality textiles, stones, wood and other natural findings. I'm honored to produce timeless, modern heirlooms to be cherished for generations.Read their story
