Ya ever splash some sauce on your taco and say, “Hot damn, we oughta bottle this up and sell it”? ¡El Meteoro! is what you get when you swirl together three gringo transplants living in the weird and wonderful place called Austin, Texas. We make sauces you can add to just about anything - and trust us, we’ve been doing so since we opened the doors of our Austin café, The Meteor, on South Congress Avenue. Super Green Cremosa is a perfectly dreamy jalapeño sauce (and it's vegan!). We drew this recipe's inspiration from early morning coffee stops and late-night food truck runs to create something that is creamy, spicy and full of lust for life. Pablo’s Smoky Rojo was inspired by a family gathering in Lockhart, Texas, the BBQ capital of the world (although this ain't no Q sauce). Young Pablo laid down such a ripping rendition of this sauce, it just begged to find a wider audience. A little spicy with some smoke. Super delicioso on tacos, chips, beef, poultry, and pizza. Bocas del Toro is not for the faint of heat. It is meant for those who can take the kick and keep on riding. So get behind those bucking shoots and give this sauce a whirl. You'll be glad you did.
