About Rap Snacks

James Lindsay is a Miami-based entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Rap Snacks, the hip-hop-inspired snack brand known for featuring stars like Cardi B, Migos, Rick Ross, and Master P. Celebrating 25 years in 2022, Rap Snacks has become a cultural staple in the snack food industry. Originally from Philadelphia, Lindsay earned a Marketing degree from Cheyney University. He built his foundation in the consumer products industry at Johnson Products and Warner-Lambert before launching Rap Snacks in 1994—blending hip-hop with snack food branding in a groundbreaking way. The brand’s popularity led to a co-marketing deal with Universal Records and annual revenues in the millions. In 2001, Lindsay acquired “Mr. G” snack foods, a beloved Philly brand, and later launched Soulful Foods with Sylvia Woods. His expertise in brand alignment helped Meek Mill secure partnerships with PUMA, Monster, and Ciroc, contributing to a $200M boost in PUMA sales over five years. In 2017, he partnered with Master P to expand into cereals, noodles, and rice through P&J Foods. More recently, he launched Oowee Lemonade with Lil’ Baby, adding beverages to his growing empire. Rap Snacks are now found in major U.S. retailers including Walmart and Target. Lindsay’s media appearances span CBS, BET, Forbes, and more. His unique blend of business savvy and cultural relevance has made Rap Snacks “The Snack for the Culture.
