Jenny Marie’s began in 2011, inspired by the love of baking passed down from both of my grandmothers while growing up in St. John’s, Newfoundland. After moving to Victoria, I found myself back in the kitchen—craving comfort, connection, and a taste of home. With a gentle nudge from my husband Ben (a true champion of my kitchen experiments), I started selling baked goods at the local farmers market. I brought a variety of treats, but it was the crackers that stole the show. Week after week, people returned for more—and I knew I had found something special. As word spread and demand grew, I took the leap into retail in the fall of 2012. It was a little scary, but deeply exciting—and it's been crackers ever since! In my grandmothers’ kitchens, I learned that good food starts with good ingredients and a whole lot of heart. Their quiet wisdom and love for feeding people shaped everything I do, and their lessons continue to guide this business every day. At Jenny Marie’s, our crackers are baked fresh to order, naturally vegan, and irresistibly crisp. They’re made to be played with—top them with all the things, or nothing at all.
