About Calou Shop

Hi, I’m Cassandra! I’m an illustrator and toy maker based in the Pacific Northwest. Named after my oldest son Calvin Louis, Calou (kah-loo) Shop was created almost a decade ago as an effort to reclaim the creativity and individuality I lost in the early stages of motherhood. I’ve been fascinated by all things paranormal since childhood so it’s fitting that this passion has resurfaced as my art has evolved. My original cryptid character designs are marked by clean lines, bold colors and, obviously, a bit of whimsy! I hope my products give you and your customers a sense of wonder and help you remember it’s okay to be a little silly from time to time. Read their story
