Balmbini began in 2019, in an unlikely place — a veterinarian's office, where Manuka was first introduced to our founder, Kam, for topical use. What started as a remedy became a curiosity, and what started as a curiosity became two years of experimentation: testing the honey on her own skin, watching it work in ways nothing else had. By 2022, that experimentation became Balmbini. At Balmbini, we import our Manuka honey, oil, and hydrosol ourselves, directly from New Zealand — the only place on earth where the Manuka bush grows wild enough to produce it. Our honey is among the highest grade available anywhere, harvested raw and never irradiated, so its enzymes and antibacterial properties remain fully intact. Our oil is the most potent, triketone-rich Manuka oil produced — the compound responsible for its remarkable ability to calm, repair, and restore.
