About Mary Phillips Designs

I was born and raised in the South. A love of art and a collection of witty quotes started me on this journey of Mary Phillips Designs 24 years ago. In 1999 I saw the John Lennon art exhibit for the third time and set out to purchase a Sumi ink set. The Pandora's box was opened and soon framed paintings of one sassy lady paired with witty quotes from my personal collection were seen in local shops, and shortly after, worldwide. The business had begun. The product line naturally expanded giving way to more fun, colorful gift and stationery products as well as tremendous licensing partnerships with some of the industry's best- American Greetings, Barnes & Noble, Wine Enthusiast, and Andrews Mc Meel Publishing to name a few. Two decades in and it continues to be the absolute most fun which is why I keep doing it! Life is too short not to be laughing on a daily basis about something. Read their story
