About Lyeto Toys

We are Nuno and Joana, parents of a wonderful three-year-old boy named Leonardo. As Leonardo grew up, at different stages of his development, we realized the obvious, that children learn to play and imitate. The idea of creating our store, initially, started with Nuno, who always loved to play with her son, a project that was embraced by Joana because, for us, things only make sense when done as a family, with love and union. The birth of our son transformed our perspective on child development and sparked a passion for creating an environment where he could learn, explore and grow in a healthy and happy way. We did not know that there could be and be so fun, magical moments of connection and learning between parents and children, through educational and fun toys that stimulate creativity, development and autonomy of children. We begin to realize that the most valuable moments we share are those when our child is free to explore, create and learn through play. Our inspiration is based on the principles of Maria Montessori, Emmi Pikler and Waldorf, and so we understand the importance of promoting independence, creativity and freedom through play.
