Over 20 years ago we were living in Rome, purchasing Radici of Tuscany products from a health food store near Rome’s historic center. Radici’s goods were packed in jars labeled with a photo of their four children. Fast forward to Ritrovo’s 21st year: the children are all grown up and the label upgraded years ago, first with a simple Tuscan arch and cypress, later with a Ritrovo label and full nutrition facts. We no longer import rustic products like chestnut spreads while others like kale pesto and vegan basil pesto, are now firmly on trend in today’s food landscape. Thanks to the support of our customers and suppliers Ritrovo has evolved, we’ve found new ways to interpret Italy’s raw materials, all while keeping our focus on foods that represent Italy’s traditions and quality. Our award winning, best-selling Casina Rossa Truffle & Salt has not only sold over half a million jars since introduced, it has also been incorporated into 3 joint ventures: Truffle & Salt Almonds, Truffle & Salt Lily Pops, and Truffle & Salt & Cheese Potato Chips. Our interest in superfoods led to Vinegar-of-the-Year Organic Turmeric Balsamic and PastaNatura Organic, Vegan, Superfood and GlutenFree pastas. 21 years out our love and passion for Italy and its foodways remain strong as ever.
