About Rose and Co. Candlemakers

I'm Rose Powell, a 16 year-old chandler from Montclair, NJ. 8 years ago, I started Rose + Co. Candlemakers because my dad was allergic to the toxins in paraffin candles. We now have a full line of handmade soy/coconut wax candles with phthalate-free fragrances and cotton wicks. The fragrances are developed and curated by us to create a line that is both sophisticated and fun! I give each candle a name that I think the fragrance evokes and a statement that the customer can relate to (Lavender Sage & Rosemary/ 100% That Girl/ You took a DNA test and it said you were strong, smart, caring and fearless. #science) And since giving back is really important to me, we also donate a portion of our proceeds to charities that support the millions of other girls in the world who don't have the same access to education that I do. We've been lucky enough to be featured in Architectural Digest, Designers Today, Fox 5 NY, World of Wonder, Rupaul’s DragCon, New Jersey Monthly, Sweet July, and many others.
