No two are exactly alike and subtle variations in shape, tension, size, and or color, are a natural and celebrated part of the process. Occasionally, these nuances mean a basket cannot be finished into a handbag. When that happens, it is never discarded, and the woman who wove it is always compensated for their work. The Honored Hand exists to uphold that promise: offering these beautiful, one-of-a-kind baskets in their original form. This program reflects our belief that every piece of craft holds value, and our dedication to circularity, thoughtful production, and consistent, dignified income.
