About Beauty Is Inside
Hello! My name is Nancy Lynne Kanter, owner of Beauty Is Inside. I’m an artist and jewelry designer, and I tend to put a creative spin on just about everything I do. My artistic style pairs realism with bright, cheerful colors and delicate details. As a fine artist, I've worked with graphite and colored pencils, white pencil on black paper, pen and ink, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic; and I've dabbled in a variety of styles, including photorealism, impressionism, abstract, mixed media, collage, and illustration. I've worked on several commissioned projects: painted murals for a hotel, painted festive chairs for a restaurant, and sketched portraits of high-level military and civilian US Navy personnel, which earned me a commendation letter from a Navy Captain. I make wine-inspired jewelry by hand out of upcycled wine corks and chandelier crystals. My jewelry has been noticed by several media outlets, including Forbes, PBS, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, a live on-air interview with the KSVY 91.3 Morning Show in Sonoma, CA, and a feature story in my hometown newspaper about pendants I designed for local charities, raising over $3000. My work has been displayed at CK Art, an art gallery in Sacramento, CA. I created a collection of private label designs exclusively for Tobin James Cellars in Paso Robles, CA, and pieces from my wholesale collection have been carried by other wineries and several gift shops.
