About M. Kind Papersmith

Welcome to M. Kind Papersmith! I’m Meaghan K. Smith, owner, operator, designer and head card folder at M. Kind Papersmith. It all started when I left an abusive relationship. Completely isolated from my friends and family, I needed a way to reconnect—with others and myself. So, I put my background in animation to work, and began hand painting greeting cards. Sending and receiving handwritten notes to friends and family gave me those connections that DMs just couldn’t touch. What started as a passion project grew into a full-fledged business, with my husband Jason Mingo (the love of my life, not ‘the ex’) by my side. Our kids, River and Linden, even help out with packaging orders, making it a true family affair. M. Kind Papersmith isn’t just about greeting cards; it’s about sending kindness, fostering real connections, and finding joy in sharing meaningful moments with each other.
