Hi! I'm Melissa, I'm 24 years old, and I enjoy long walks down the aisles of Whole Foods and eating my near-body weight in fruit. Dates specifically; they are my absolute favorite fruit! I had my first date when I moved to New York for college and it was love at first bite. Dates are so sweet & so good for you! While in school I started working at a smoothie & acai bowl shop, primarily to eat endless fruit all day long. During my first shift I was shocked to discover that the acai we served was sweetened with sugar, over 15 grams per half cup! It drove me insane and I wondered why we didn't just sweeten the blends with dates. Dates are healthy, taste amazing, and maybe there was a way to drizzle dates on the bowls like honey, peanut butter, or almond butter right? It turned out that there wasn’t, so I created one! Since launching Wanna Date? as an NYU student I landed a deal with Mark Cuban on Shark Tank, graduated with a degree in entrepreneurship, and now I’m on a mission to make the world a sweeter, punnier place with dates!

Ordered Dec 2021 as first time buyer. Noticed in February they expired that month after customer returned the product and pointed it out. We contacted them and asked what remedy they could provide to us since when we asked them about shelf time and they stated 12 months. The product we received only had 90 days. They stated there was nothing they were willing to do. We only had about 12 jars remaining and there response was off-putting especially as first time customers. Very odd. Buyer beware.
