About Bijondo

Bijondo was born in 2007 from an idea by Verena Pina, a Berlin-based entrepreneur and designer with strong dynamism and adventurous spirit. Verena has a global vision of fashion, favoring the "boho chic" style that combines elements of bohemian and hippy culture. The style conceived for Bijondo merges with ethical principles such as sustainability and respect for human dignity. The passion for necklaces made from natural elements, combined with a love for travel, pure beauty, and fashion in general, was just the beginning of a long journey that led Verena to choose the destiny of her life project. From an initial life experience in Mexico and Colombia and later in Indonesia, after studying international management, Verena fully immersed herself in the world of fashion manufacturing and sustainable design business, first in Germany, in her Berlin, and then settled in Salento. A choice made ad hoc because the love for beauty left no room for anything else. Lecce completely captivated Verena, leading her to decide in 2014, during an evening in the shadow of the baroque and in front of a good wine, that the city symbol of Salento would be the ideal place to realize her dream.Read their story
