It all started in 2009, when founder Sami Jo Artus discovered her favorite body wash contained a host of ingredients she couldn't pronounce. In researching these long-winded chemicals, she found many of them were linked to skin ailments from rashes and irritation to cancers and birth defects. She immediately tossed all offending cosmetics and got to work whipping up her own natural beauty concoctions in her kitchen. As an herbalist, Sami believes in the healing, calming, and beautifying power of nature. She incorporates her knowledge of herbs and flowers into crafting truly natural beauty products.
