3 Cricketeers creates gourmet chocolate treats, caramel popcorn, and snack mixes that include food-grade crickets from our urban cricket farm in Minneapolis, MN. Our mission is to introduce the world to this planet-friendly alternative protein one delicious bite at a time. Founders Chad and Claire Simons got the bug after their son brought home a cricket cookie from school on Earth Day. Not long after, they launched 3 Cricketeers in a 700 square foot storage space. Local curiosity turned into national interest, and now we work with restaurants, universities, attractions, and retailers all across the country. We’re unlike “novelty” insect candy vendors you may be familiar with. As a mission-driven company, we’re not trying to gross anyone out or dare you to try something you won’t like. Instead, our products lead with delicious ingredients and hand-crafted quality, and we use crickets to enhance the flavor and texture of classic treats customers already love. You’ll even find our crickets at James Beard Award-winning restaurants and atop truffles at fine chocolatiers. Our products are small batch, made with our regeneratively farmed crickets. We use locally sourced ingredients, Rainforest Alliance certified chocolate, and organic popcorn.
