I’ve often read author or store bios and thought to myself - who is writing this? Did they write it? How does someone else know they like to hang out with their golden retriever and hike on the weekends? So, hi it’s really nice to meet you, my name is Alex. The path that brought me to writing and creating this journal is a long story, and comprises of many lived lives. At the heart of this company is a deep appreciation for movement. For being intrepid. For moments that can take your breath away. From years of traveling in a van and around the world I always loved to write and sketch yet I could never find the perfect journal. One that felt like a friend, that was durable like a book, and inspired me to create. This journal fills a niche. A gap between blank journal and prompt. Where the journal is a part of the story. To help push you. To help create with you. I am so excited to launch Old Growth Supplies and to have our first publication Wandering Routes guide the way for more journals and iterations. A bit more about me (now this is feeling like an author bio), I currently live in Leavenworth, Washington with my husband and German Shephard. I enjoy my low impact walks, teaching yoga, and spending as much time as I can outside. My curiosities recently have been listening to survival podcasts, building vans with my husband, and remodeling our house. Read their story
