About VLACE

In 2018, our founder Viola moved to the global metropolis of New York for a few months. She has been fascinated by the diversity and iridescence of the city since her childhood. She met people who couldn't be more different and admired the different personalities that the city produced. One early evening in December, she was walking through Central Park and, due to the approaching cold, she wore her head down. Hundreds of white sneakers passed her by. They differed in minimal details and Viola was surprised to notice that they all wore the same dull cotton laces. Boring - thought our founder. Their wearers made such an effort to achieve individuality and forgot a small, but not overlooked detail. The idea of VLACE was born - on a cool December evening in New York. During one of her forays through Soho's hip shops, she discovered a store that distinguished itself from the others with a special detail. Because only shoelaces were offered here. She looked curiously at the sea of colors and recognized the priceless value that lurked in it. She was surprised by the low quality and the high price and decided to let this experience be the beginning of something really big.
