pītusa, pronounced pee-tu-sah, was created with the purpose of providing high- quality, flattering clothing that’s colorful, comfortable, and evokes happiness. pītusa clothing is made to chill! Our clothing is inspired by travels around the world and the diversity of cultures. We are a female-led brand employing female-run and operated ateliers. We place an emphasis on luxurious fabrics such as pima cotton from Peru and lightweight gauze cottons from India. Clara Lago Rashidian – pītusa’s founder and CEO – with no outside investment has grown the brand to one of global recognition since its inception in 2010. pītusa has since found a place in the world’s leading retailers such as Selfridges, Brown’s, Fenwick, Harvey Nichols (Dubai), Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shopbop, Revolve and specialty boutiques worldwide. In the United States, pītusa has a flagship store in Miami, Florida (Wynwood neighborhood), and most recently opened two international stores in Mykonos, Greece and Tulum, Mexico. pītusa, meaning “funny little girl” in Spanish, is Clara’s childhood nickname given to her by her father. Clara grew up in London and is of Spanish and English descent. She now lives with her family in Miami, where pītusa is headquartered.Read their story
