And the best part: because the HOMB comes as a practical daypack, the piggyback carrier is always there when needed. The idea was born during a city trip to London. Steffi's friends had four-year-old twins with them at the time. To avoid using a stroller, which is more of a nuisance than a help in subways, on stairs, etc., the parents had built a construction out of swing boards to occasionally carry the little ones standing on their backs. What seemed like a funny gadget to Steffi at the time, she often missed when her own children reached that age. With the idea of integrating this carrying solution into a city backpack and a first self-sewn model, she presented her idea to Nina, who - being a mother herself - immediately recognized its usefulness.
