About Kevin O'Brien Studio

Kevin O’Brien Studio has been designing and producing fine silk velvet for over 25 years. We established our company by printing and hand-dyeing velvet for prominent American fashion designers. Fifteen years ago, we shifted our focus to home décor, starting with pillows. To meet the growing demand for our luxury home furnishings, we purchased an old movie theater in the heart of Philadelphia and transformed it into our factory, design center, and warehouse. Now, the majority of our products are made from start to finish within these four walls, but take inspiration from Kevin’s travels across the world. Our product categories: Kevin O’Brien Studio offers a variety of luxury home decor. We are best known for our decorative pillows and throws, and our first-rate bedding line. Additionally, we offer velvet scarves and wearables, and collaborate with fellow artisans on rugs, mosaics, and more. Our yardage is highly sought after for a range of decorating and upholstery projects. Where our products are made: Our silk velvet is designed and produced in our Philadelphia studio, and our bedding offerings are created with the world’s top weavers in Portugal, Italy, India, and Nepal. Distinguishing features about our line: Our distinctive velvet burnout patterns begin as drawings in Kevin’s sketchbook.
