About Oro del desierto

Oro del Desierto is a family business dedicated to the cultivation of olive groves and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality. On our farms there are olive trees of different varieties (Arbequina, Lechín, Hojiblanca and Picual) and ages as well as planting frames. Harvesting is done by combining manual harvesting by milking (traditional olive grove and younger seedlings) and mechanized harvesting of trees over 6 years old in an intensive setting. All farms have been certified under the organic production standard since 1995. Our organic extra virgin olive oil is made only from olives from our own farms, in less than 8 hours from harvest they are brought to the company's own oil mill daily. Our product has received more than 300 prestigious awards nationally and internationally since 2003 and is currently successfully positioned in 34 countries to which more than half of the company's high quality and limited production is exported. On our farms and in industry, technology, tradition and renewable energy are combined, all in a sustainable way. Our company is a pioneer in closing production cycles with maximum utilization, since all the waste obtained is reintegrated into the process, transforming it into by-products that are used on the farm and factory. In addition, 100% of the energy used is of solar origin and therefore renewable. Read their story
